Falling into Autumn

I had a good rest of the summer even thought it's been hot. Fall is my favorite season of the year. The leaves changing colors looking really pretty. I went on a few more bike rides with a friend from school, it has been lots of fun. On one bike ride we went all the way to Big Springs Park. It was hard work going up the long hill but we made it. The best part was going downhill. The wind in your face going fast as a car. I did going with another friend up provo canyon. I've been taking tons of pictures of the pretty leaves. For halloween I carved 3 pumpkins! I did the happy jack-o-lantern, the Boo!, and the smile face. Im looking forward to the holidays and the snow.

Summer Fun

I went on the trek a month ago which it was lots of fun. The place where we went is in Woodruff, Utah. The trek was four long hard days pulling and pushing handcarts and falling in holes along the trail. We went 28 miles in four days. While I was on the trek I had four ticks all over me which one of them was attached to me, it was scary. Also my company group found a bird that was just barely born and ants were crawling all over it. We didn't want the bird to suffer anymore so we put rocks on top of the bird and had a memorial service for it. I had a great time, and it was a really a good experience. I mostly pulled the handcart and was sore from doing that.

I had a fun time these past few months. First of all I went to Moab over spring break. I hike fisher towers, the delicate arche and couple others. I wanted to get a picture taken with John Wayne. Just awhile ago I made a candybar poster for a friend and she really likes it. It was hard to do but it was really fun making a poster for a friend's birthday. Just last month I went on a bike ride with a friend from school. We had a great time. We rode all the way to provo canyon and back home and we did again just a few weeks ago. On July 4th I hiked the Y with my family and of course I ran all the way down hill which was pretty scary. Later on we had a BBQ and watched fireworks. I was sore for days after the Y hike. I couldn't walk up or down the stairs, it wasn't fun. I had a fun summer so far. My next goal this summer is to hike Mt. Timp

A Brand New Year

2010 has been a wonderful year. It also went by very fast. I had a fun thanksgiving and christmas. During the break I made the tallest snowman which it was awesome, but sadly it fell apart. New Year's Eve was so much fun that I stayed up till three in the morning watching movies and munching on snacks. I drove on the ice for my very first time, it was pretty scary and there was a blizzard that same night that I drove. I have a friend who had a stroke a week ago so I went to go visit her at the hospital. She's doing better and improving everyday. I love taking pictures of gorgeous sunsets and sunrises and watching them too.

Colorful Fall

Last weekend I got to go to general conference, it was fun. I got my hair cut shorter, it does feels weird, but Im use to it now. Just recently I took some pictures of the flowers after a rainstorm. I enjoy taking pictures of flowers, leaves changing colors and many other things too. I got to go to a byu women's soccer game for free because one of my good friends plays soccer. It was so much fun and byu won.

A fresh new start

This summer has been really, really hot. I enjoyed every minute of it. I went swimming, saw movies, visiting friends and also played in the sun. This summer has gone by fast and school is coming up soon. I do miss high school. First of all I finally got my license so I can pretty much drive anywhere now. One night the sky looked like it was yellow. I took a picture of it.

Im offically the world's worst blogger. Im finally done with high school. It seems like I just started school and now it's all over. The end of the school year I got to go to lagoon and went to a senior all nighter which was fun.

My Life

I love going to the football and the basketball games, and seeing friends from Orem. I also got to go to efy this last summer, it's been a great experience. I met a friend there that goes to Mountain View too! I love building snowmans! Last year we had lots of snow so I went out to build a snowman that was 5 ft tall, even the neigbors builded a big snowman too. I named my snowman "Frosty" Lastly, I enjoed playing with my niece, she's always fun to be around with.

I love taking pictures of flowers, trees, etc. I've been taking pictures ever since I gotten my own camera. I've seen other people's pictures, and I always think they are better photographers then me. I want to be a photographer when I get older.

After each player took a turn holding the championship trophy and got a piece of the net, senior J.J. Petit made sure to tell her teammates that this win was only the beginning.

"Remember this feeling," she said. "You guys are going to be feeling it next year, too."

Mountain View's eight seniors defied expectations by reaching the title game under the direction of first-year coach Andrew Blanchard. But after splitting the regular

season series with the Red Devils, the Bruins didn't waste any time making their state title intentions known against their Region 7 rivals.

Mountain View stepped out with some stifling defensive pressure early in the first quarter, forcing Springville to take the outside shot.

"We've said all year that defense wins championships," said Blanchard. "We were just able to finish at the end when they were panicking."

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, that panic set in early as they struggled to drain jumpers. Mountain View took advantage of their frustration to take a 17-11 lead after the first quarter thanks to a three-point buzzer-beater by Megan Goodman.

But the Bruins had a few problems of their own. Anjie Lines and Aja Domingo each had three fouls by the second quarter, and Christina Augustin got into early foul trouble and eventually fouled out. Lines had a rough night from the foul line, hitting only 3 of 8 to keep the lead from being more than 29-18 at the half.

While those players waited out their fouls, Petit provided quality minutes off the bench, posting a team-high eight rebounds, and the Bruins lead kept inching up through the next three quarters.

But Augustin,

playing in her last game in a Bruin jersey, hit big shots down the stretch to finish with 17 points -- most of them in the paint -- to seal Mountain View's first state title since 2004.

"She came down with some good post moves tonight," said Blanchard. "She was just unstoppable down there."

But at the end of the day, the details of the game paled to the feeling of holding that championship trophy in their hands.

"I had tears in my eyes," said Blanchard. "It's a big day for us."

My Aunt passed away last Monday

Launa Lee Izatt Ludeman, 52, of Boise, Idaho, beloved wife, mother and friend passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at home following a most courageous and valiant challenge with cancer. Launa was born May 30, 1956 in Afton, Wyo., the second of seven children born to Stanley and Mona Izatt. Launa grew up in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming. She loved spending time playing with her siblings and many cousins. In her youth, a favorite pastime was playing in the sawdust hill at the family sawmill. Launa was very close to her family and times with her siblings were always full of much laughter and fun. A life long member of the Christ of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she attended Ricks College and BYU following high school, majoring in pre-law. She served a mission to Columbus, Ohio from 1978 to 1980. Launa met Dale while attending BYU. They were married July 3, 1987 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. Following their marriage they moved to Detroit, Michigan where Launa and Dale started their family. Launa's true love was her family, and her most important calling was being a mother to her six children. She loved snuggling them as babies, playing with them as young children, and spending time talking with them as teenagers. Launa was a wonderful wife and mother, whose kindness extended to all. Launa was a friend to all. She knew no stranger and always made one feel like she had all the time in the world to talk with them. Launa has always had a testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith and knowledge of her Savior's love, has always been an anchor to her and her family. Launa is survived by her husband, Dale; sons, Ken, Cameron, Kyle, and Conner daughters, Kerianne and Christie all at home. She leaves behind her father, Stanley Izatt (Sandra) of Star Valley, Wyo.; brothers, Layne (Colleen) Izatt of Orem, Utah, Drew (Lesliann) Izatt of Star Valley, Wyo., Derk (Lee), of Star Valley, Wyo.; sisters, Paula (Scott) Heiner of Green River, Wyo., Airica (Michael) Fluckinger of Star Valley, Wyo. mother and father-in-law, Ivan and Marian Ludeman, Casper, Wyo. Debra (Robert) Weston, West Jordan, Utah. Launa was preceded in death by her mother, Mona Izatt, and her sister Allison Izatt. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at MSTI, Four Rivers Hospice, as well as family and friends for the compassion and care of our wife and mother.
